Set to become one of New Zealand’s tallest residential towers, Seascape Apartments is a bold addition to Auckland’s skyline and a showcase of contemporary façade engineering. The tower’s crystalline geometry and sweeping glazed surfaces present both an architectural statement and a technical challenge – one that our façade engineering team transformed into a buildable, high-performance reality.
The design is characterised by its striking angular façade, with unitised glazing and faceted panels that capture and reflect the ever-changing light of the Waitematā Harbour. Each facet required precision modelling, detailing, and engineering to ensure seamless integration across the tower’s height. The façade system was optimised for weather tightness, acoustic control, and thermal efficiency, while being robust enough to withstand Auckland’s coastal climate and stringent seismic requirements.
